Seven-Day Distraction Fast – Day #2
Blessed are those whose strength is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage. Psalm 84:5
What did you hear God say to you on Day #1? Did you find new time to spend with Him? Was your heart more at peace?
I went to bed with a deeper sense of satisfaction at having invested my ‘found’ time in more meaningful activities. This is the satisfaction of the steward that I believe God wants for all of us – the sense that we have better stewarded the precious gift of time He has given us and found new ways to be present and still before Him.
On this Day #2, I offer this short verse from Psalm 84. We have ‘set our hearts on pilgrimage’ by walking this seven day journey. Like the journey to the Tabernacle of old, we are moving to a place where we can more fully experience God’s presence. I pray today you will sense the blessedness of God as one on pilgrimage toward Him.
Expect Him to meet you today in unexpected places. Anticipate His presence. Give ear to His voice. He is faithful.
