Seven-Day Distraction Fast – Day #3

By Dr. Scott Rodin

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

How was your day yesterday? Did you find new opportunities to be still in God‘s presence? Is your spirit more at rest having escaped a little of the noise and busyness of this world? I pray so.

As we begin day three of this distraction fast, I encourage you to meditate on this beautiful passage from the Psalms. What does it mean that God made this day just for you? If this is God‘s day, then He invites you to enter into it for all He has in store for you. When we consider that God owns our days and invites us in as His guests, then our days become gifts and our time becomes precious. Let that be the source of your rejoicing as you start this third day. Clear away all that might distract you from experiencing fully the day that God created for you.

Write me and tell me how you experience this day, made just for you by the God who loves you.
